THE GOSSAMER THREAD
The Gossamer Thread 501c3 takes its name from "A Noiseless Patient Spider" by Walt Whitman. We are the spider, flinging threads through oceans of space to seek community connection and form bridges. We seek spheres of connection to support environmental conservation and the arts.
PURPOSE
Art can tell us stories about nature that challenge us to rise and protect the natural world and its resources. Music or dance performed in a natural setting hits with a profound depth that can't be replicated in a concert hall. In this way, art has the power to reinforce nature, and nature has the power to reinforce art. The two enrich each other.
